There are thousands of people who decide to get a divorce every year in the United States. For some, the decision may have come easy, but for others, it was a difficult one to make because of the love they may have for each other or other circumstances making them question if it is the right decision. Having second thoughts about divorce is natural, but when it comes down to it, if it is the best decision, then couples really have no choice but to move forward with the process and file for divorce.

Yolanda Foster, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and her husband of four years have recently filed for divorce. They were reportedly together for five years before they tied the knot in 2011. It has not yet been stated whether or not the couple had a prenuptial agreement or who will get what property once the divorce has been finalized.

It is not uncommon for couples to be together for a long period of time, but to divorce after they finally decide to marry. Both have children from previous relationships, but none with each other. Since the two have no children together, child custody will not need to be discussed, but if they have accumulated any property throughout their relationship, it is likely that they will address property division during the divorce process.

Whenever people are planning to divorce or have begun the filing process, they will want to hire an attorney to assist them. Divorces can go smoothly if both parties are cooperating, but there is always the chance that things will turn nasty, so people should be prepared in case their spouse puts up a fight. With an attorney helping them fight, people may be able to walk away from the marriage with the money and property that they deserve.
